The Topgreener TDOS5 Motion Sensor Switch is designed to automatically turn lights and motors on and off based on the motion (occupancy/vacancy) detected in the room. The device offers two modes: Occupancy (OCC) and Vacancy (VAC) modes. In the occupancy mode, the lights are automatically turned on when you enter a room and then automatically turned off after the room is vacant. This feature is particularly convenient when entering a room with your hands full, such as an entryway, laundry room, or garage, as it eliminates the need to fumble in the dark for the light switch or risk tripping when entering a dark room. Additionally, having the lights automatically turn on can deter thieves and allow a surveillance camera to capture clear footage. The occupancy mode is recommended for use in rooms such as the kitchen, laundry room, garage, restroom, office, and closet.

The vacancy mode, on the other hand, requires the user to manually turn the light on, and the light will automatically turn off when the room is vacant. This mode is suitable for rooms that do not need the lights to turn on automatically, such as bedrooms and media rooms, ensuring the most energy savings as the user decides when to turn the lights on.

The TDOS5 sensor switch provides reliable performance, as it automatically turns off the load when no motion is detected within the set time delay, which can be adjusted from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, allowing users to choose their preferred option.

The PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor switch's visually aesthetic design and broad compatibility make it a suitable choice for upgrading your home. The universal wiring design allows compatibility with any home, and the easy installation process only requires connecting two black wires, one with the hot and the other with the load.

After installing the motion sensor switch and turning on the circuit breaker, the device requires about 2 minutes to warm up before operating. A neutral wire is required for installation, and the switch covers an area of up to 1200 square feet with a 180-degree view. It supports a variety of loads, including 500W Incandescent, 150W LED/CFL, and 1/4 HP Motor, and operates within a temperature range of 32°F to 131°F. The device is compatible with all bulb types and is designed for single-pole use only. Two wall plates are included with the purchase.
